Are Bottles and Packaging Recyclable?
Yes they are.
All our glass and PET bottles are recyclable but in most parts of the country it's down to you to take them to a suitable bottle bank. Most authorities have kerbside collections now.
PET plastic can be reused in our bottles, although this has only recently been made possible on a significant scale.
See our Environment page for more information.

If you would like to stock our brand please give us a call on 01423 730000 to find out the location of your nearest distributor.
Is the water bottled at source?
Yes, all Harrogate Spring Water is bottled and packed at source at our factory in Harrogate. Our water is drawn from an aquifer below the factory and when it is bottled, it's the first time the water has seen the light of day for over 80 years. Our catchment area has never been farmed and so the water is low in nitrates and nitrites.
What is the shelf life of Harrogate Spring Water?
The shelf life of all our glass and still PET products is two years as is our Bag In Box product. Sparkling PET products have a 9 month shelf life and Cuplets have a 12 month shelf life.
How much water should I drink?
Health guidelines currently recommend that an adult should aim to drink around 1.5 litres of fluid each day.
The body can survive without food for about a month but only about a week without water.
Children should aim to drink four to six glasses of water each day.
Did you know?
Did you know that in 1596 Timothy Bright, a physician to Queen Elizabeth, first sampled Harrogate Water.
He was so impressed by its unique mineral balance that he recommended it to his patients and christened Harrogate "The English spa".
Today over 400 years later, you can still enjoy water from the original British spa town.
Now that's refreshing!
